We are a well established business having sold over 20,000 handbags. Our creative mix of interesting bags for all occasions suits those who want the right bag for them at a reasonable price.

With prices from £20 to £195, we stock handbags from over 50 different brands. We currently have several suppliers manufacturing in England and have regular supplies from Morocco, India, The Philippines, Italy, Kenya, Nepal, Hungary, Thailand and Holland. We have bags and baskets made from Leather, Suede, Cotton, Hemp and Seagrass. We have a range of textiles from lightweight synthetics to durable hardwearing naturals.

You will find our shops located in the historic Cathedral quarter of Lincoln and in the centre of the beautiful Georgian stone market town of Stamford. Both locations are ideal for a day out, situated amongst other independent boutique shops and places of cultural and historical interest.

The Bag Shop was founded by Frances Shippey, whose retail career began at the prestigious Liberty’s of Regent Street, London. Her expertise in textiles is evident throughout the comprehensive range of bags and baskets we have in stock.

Our Lincoln shop is open 7 days a week and Stamford just closed on Sundays. We have been online for three years and currently offer free delivery on all UK orders!
